Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) recorded its second successive weekly gain, with market capitalisation rising SAR 29 billion ($7.73 billion).
The Tadawul All-Share Index (TASI) went up 125.78 points, or 1.47%, to 8,708.66 points in a week, while market capitalisation increased to SAR 2.064 trillion.
The joint index between Tadawul and MSCI, MT30 index, rose 20 points, or 1.6%, to 1,288.78 points over the week.
On the other end of the spectrum, the benchmark index of the Nomu secondary market (NOMU) lost 28.63 points, or 0.78%, to 3,652.69 points.
A group of 13 sectors levelled up, on top of which capital goods, which gained 3.27%, followed by the banking and telecommunication sectors, which added 2.6% and 2.3%, respectively.
The remainder of sectors declined over the week, led by the pharmaceuticals sector, which retreated 1.94%.
Tadawul’s trading volume reached 755.48 million shares, while the market’s liquidity hit SAR 16.24 billion.
